Every Gonex product has a tale of adventures behind it. When our customer Debra Barnum shared her journey of embracing minimalism and exploring Mexico with just three bags. Here’s a glimpse into her adventuring experience.
In November 2023 I downsized everything I own to fit into a 26" rollaboard suitcase, a 19" carry-on, and a backpack. My entire life in 3 bags to make it easier to travel around Mexico and decide where I want to live permanently. In essence, I became an extreme minimalist.
So, I travelled for a year in Central Mexico with these 3 bags and decided I would like to downsize the 26" just a bit and find a bag that is more manageable for me. After extensive research on rolling duffel bags (I even created a spreadsheet for bag comparisons) I decided to purchase this Gonex rolling duffel.
I made a trip back to Michigan in November 2024 to apply for my resident Visa for Mexico and returned to Mexico with the beloved Gonex rolling duffel. I love everything about this bag except for the defects and design flaw previously mentioned but as I stated previously, so far, none of these things have ruined the bag, it is still fully functional.
